Uncharted, the hit action adventure film starring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg, based on the best-selling PlayStation video game series, will debut as a theme park ride in PortAventura World midway through 2023.
The Spanish entertainment resort, in Salou, on the Costa Dorata, has licensed the property from Sony Pictures, and is promising a state-of-the-art thrill ride.
‘We can assure you that it will offer the ultimate immersive and exciting experience that has never been seen before at the resort,” enthuses the theme park.
The Uncharted ride is set to become the flagship attraction at the Mediterranean resort, where it will join existing outdoors coaster Furius Baco.
We don’t know too much about Uncharted the Ride at the moment, suffice to say it will be a dark roller coaster (good news if you don’t have much of a head for heights), in which guests undertake a high-speed search ‘for one of the greatest treasures never found.’
The track, close to 700 metres in length, will see wannabe explorers hurtle through a variety of exotic territories. The dark coaster features five launches with up to 1 g acceleration, and will reach a height of more than 16 metres.

The Uncharted coaster will be located in the Far West corner of PortAventura World, and will cover 4800 square metres. It’s been designed by Intamin Amusement Rides, and Sally Dark Rides.
Uncharted, the movie, topped the UK Official Film Chart when it was released on disc and download this summer.
In the film, Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) is recruited by treasure hunter Victor ‘Sully’ Sullivan (played by Mark Wahlberg) to recover a long-lost fortune amassed by Ferdinand Magellan. Unfortunately villainous Santiago Moncada (Antonio Banderas) believes his family are the rightful heirs to the fortune, and the heist becomes a white-knuckle adventure across the world, entangled in mystery.
Visitors to the Uncharted ride can expect an elaborate pre-show that will echo the movie and set the scene for their adventure. To book your stay at PortAventura, click here.

Chocolate bucatini as a main course sounds like a dare. In Soho, it’s dinner – and for one very Instagrammable week, 27 Old Compton Street is serving up a full bowl of chocolate-coated pasta that looks like date night mischief and tastes surprisingly… good? Let’s start with the headline act: bucatini al cioccolato. Thick strands…
January is famously rather rude to our bank accounts. The decorations come down, the credit card statement arrives, and suddenly even a latte starts to feel like a luxury purchase. But one London restaurant is doing the Lord’s work this winter… by taking its prices straight back to 2015. For the entire month of January,…
