New flagship London Gibson guitar store to become a magnet for musicians and rock fans

The Gibson Garage showroom in Nashville

Legendary American instrument brand Gibson, has announced a new flagship music store for London. The Gibson Garage is being hailed as the ultimate guitar experience, and a place to explore and celebrate the brand’s 130-year music history.

It will be Gibson’s first flagship store to open outside of the US, and follows the successful launch of the Gibson Garage Nashville (pictured).

Opening early 2024, just off Oxford Street, Gibson Garage London will feature 4,500 square feet of retail space where visitors can plug-in and play more than 300 electric and acoustic guitars from Gibson Custom Shop to Epiphone, and explore the entire collection of MESA/Boogie amplifiers, and Maestro pedals.

There will be live performances, too, as well as the opportunity to order a Made-to-Measure guitar in the Gibson Custom Shop Murphy Lab, plus associated Gibson merch.

“When we first began designing the Gibson Garage, our global flagship, we asked ourselves, What do we want our fans to experience when walking into Gibson?,” says Cesar Gueikian, Gibson President and CEO.

“We imagined an immersive dream space where fans walk in and say, Wow, this is the place that Gibson should have always had!”

Gueikian says The Garage Nashville, which features live performances and events from both established stars and emerging artists, has had a significant impact on the Nashville music scene. He’s hoping the London store will have the same invigorating effect.

“As one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world, London has always been an influential musical ecosystem and became an obvious choice of where to open our next Gibson Garage.”

The launch date has yet to be announced, stay tuned for details.
