Things chill better with this Iconic Smeg Coca-Cola special edition fridge

Introducing the Smeg Coca-Cola special edition ‘Iconic’ refrigerator, the second cool collaboration between the luxury Italian appliance brand and legendary soft drink company.

Following on from Smeg’s 70’s style Unity Coca-Cola model released last year, this new Coke collab pays homage to fifties Americana, blending Coke’s signature red and white colour scheme with Smeg’s classic retro design. Period details include marketing slogans like ‘Ice Cold’ and ‘Have a Coke,’ along with the classic ‘Drink Coca-Cola’ logo.

The Coca-Cola logo is one of the most recognisable in the world. While Dr John S Pemberton invented the drink’s formula back in 1886, it was his bookkeeper, Frank M Robinson, who suggested and created the handwritten script logo.

Based on Smeg’s FAB28 model, the Smeg x Coca-Cola ‘Iconic’ fridge boasts a 270 litre capacity, which we’re reliably informed is enough to chill 233 cans, and has removable glass shelves, internal LED lighting, a Life Plus compartment for perishables, and a fruit and veg draw.

A small 24 litre icebox is situated up top, for frozen food and ice.

“We’re excited to bring Coca-Cola and Smeg together to celebrate our brands in such an expressive fashion,” said Karen Schohan, Senior Licensing Manager for The Coca-Cola Company. “What better home could an ice cold Coke have than an iconic SMEG refrigerator?”

The Iconic Coca-Cola fridge sells for £2,299 and is available in-store at Smeg’s flagship London store, on 14 Regent Street, St James’s, or online.
