Canary Wharf workers, consider this your most important lunch meeting of the week.
New pub The Tallyman is celebrating its arrival in the Wharf by giving away 200 free lobster rolls worth £18 each on Thursday 17 September.
From midday until 3pm, the first 200 people to visit its outdoor Tallyman Seafood Shack will get one completely free, on a strictly first come, first served basis.
The rolls come courtesy of the team behind seafood restaurant Faber, where they’ve already earned something of a following through its Lobster Lunch Club – so this is more than your average pub sandwich.

Better still, the Seafood Shack is sticking around permanently. From Monday to Saturday it will serve lobster rolls between 12-3pm – with a “when they’re gone, they’re gone” policy for the must-try sandwiches – before switching to oysters, caviar and English sparkling wine from 4-9pm.
The new pub takes its name from the historic tallymen who worked around London’s docks, connecting workers, ship owners and customs officials, with the interiors and concept drawing on Canary Wharf’s industrial past.
The outdoor Tallyman Seafood Shack will be offering up free lobster rolls
The Tallyman officially opens for walk-ins on 18 September, with bookings from 21 September, and will trade seven days a week from 11am until late. Expect British produce, pub classics, cask ales and British-brewed beer, plus live music, Sunday roasts, pub quizzes and happy hour.
You’ll find the giveaway outside 5 Chancellor Passage, Canary Wharf Estate, London E14 4PA.
Our advice? Get there before Canary Wharf collectively discovers what’s happening. Free lobster has a habit of travelling fast…
