The Dalmore has returned to its dunnage warehouses for a limited 14 Year Old single malt whisky finished in Semisecco Marsala casks.
It’s the latest expression in the Distillery Select Series, a collection of limited-edition whiskies drawn from small parcels of stock at the distillery.
First launched in 2024, each release in the Series is selected to show a different side of the distillery’s character. For 2026, the whisky makers have selected a single 14 Year Old expression, finished in Semisecco Marsala casks and bottled at a robust 53.7% ABV.
Just 1,110 bottles will be released.
The whisky began its maturation in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels before spending a further one year nine months in Semisecco Marsala barriques. The medium-sweet style of the Sicilian fortified wine was chosen to bring additional warmth and depth to the spirit.
The Dalmore says the casks introduce notes associated with candied citrus, honeyed fruit, roasted nuts and gentle spice, while allowing the distillery’s established character to remain at the centre of the whisky.
The Dalmore Distillery Select 2026 is bottled at natural colour and without chill filtration.

The Dalmore Select 14 YO Semisecco Marsala tasting notes
On the nose, the whisky reportedly offers floral overtones alongside sweet clementine, stone fruits and honeyed malt. There’s also a suggestion of grape must and spiced vanilla.
The palate develops through candied orange peel, sweet pear, toffee and brioche. Subtle notes of walnut, clove and cinnamon add further spice and complexity.
The finish is described as sweet and citrus-led, with rich oak and what the distillery calls a fading memory of festive spice.
The 2026 release will also be available to visitors at The Dalmore’s reimagined Highland home, which reopened earlier this year. Guests booking an experience at the distillery will have the opportunity to purchase bottles through the distillery boutique.
The Dalmore Distillery Select 2026: Semisecco Marsala Finish is priced at £350. General release begins on 31 August 2026. Members of The Dalmore Guild will have the opportunity to access an advance purchase, with members notified by email.
