Luxury retailer Fortnum & Mason has teamed up with Disney to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Winnie the Pooh. The collaboration spans exclusive honey, hampers, homeware and a themed Afternoon Tea, bringing a little of the Hundred Acre Wood to Piccadilly.
At the heart of the collection is what Fortnum’s describes as the world’s first official Disney Winnie the Pooh 100 Aker Wood Hunny. To create it, beehives were placed in Friends Field in Ashdown Forest, the real-life landscape that inspired A.A. Milne’s Hundred Acre Wood. Bees gathered nectar from the surrounding woodland to produce two seasonal harvests, capturing the changing character of spring and summer.
With no intensive farming in the surrounding area, the bees forage across a rich variety of native flora, while the apiaries are managed using slow, pesticide-free beekeeping methods.
The Fortnum & Mason Disney Winnie the Pooh 100 Aker Wood Spring Hunny is said to offer delicate notes of bluebell, hawthorn and gorse, while the Summer Hunny develops flavours of lime blossom and menthol. Both are presented in classic 227g glass jars priced at £12.95.
Collectors may be tempted by the Disney Winnie the Pooh 100 Aker Wood Creamed Spring Hunny Pot, a whipped honey presented in a keepsake 300g ceramic pot inspired by Pooh’s famous honey jar, priced at £50. All are available from July 16.

A taste of Hundred Acre Wood
Naturally, no Pooh-inspired celebration would be complete without a picnic. Fortnum’s has created two limited-edition hampers to mark the occasion. The £170 Disney Winnie the Pooh Hunny Pot Hamper arrives in a bespoke wicker hamper shaped like a honey pot and includes raspberry oat biscuits, Jelly Bee sweets, a honey bear, honey truffles and an exclusive Pooh plush.
For those looking for an even grander keepsake, the £350 Disney Winnie the Pooh Collector’s Hamper expands the selection with a mug, tea towel, plush bear, Disney Winnie the Pooh Helps the Bees! book, Fortnum’s Apricot Honey & Lavender tea, Spring Hunny, a honeycomb tasting selection, Honey Tall Tin and a traditional honey drizzler, alongside further confectionery inspired by Pooh’s favourite indulgence.
The sweet treats continue throughout the collection. Disney Winnie the Pooh Hunny Oat Biscuits with Raspberries cost £11.95, while Disney Winnie the Pooh & Friends Iced Biscuits (£32.95) recreate beloved characters from the storybook in iced biscuit form. Jelly Bee Sweets (£8.95) and a Milk Chocolate Bar (£8.95) complete the confectionery line-up.
Perhaps the most indulgent creation is the Disney Winnie the Pooh & Piglet Hunny Truffle Selection (£48). The five handcrafted chocolates each showcase a different British honey, including the new 100 Aker Wood Spring Hunny alongside Isle of Purbeck Hawthorn Honey, Scottish Ling Heather Honey, Essex Borage Honey and Banbury Lime Blossom Honey, demonstrating the variety of flavours honey can bring to fine chocolate.
Beyond the pantry, the collaboration extends into the home. Two commemorative tea towels, each priced at £15.95, feature artwork celebrating Pooh and a specially created map of the Hundred Acre Wood incorporating Fortnum’s own beehive. Matching mugs (£24.95), a reusable Bag for Life (£18.95), a Winnie the Pooh Bear with Honey Pot plush (£50) and Disney Winnie the Pooh Helps the Bees! (£14.99) complete the collection.
Visitors to Fortnum’s Piccadilly store can also celebrate the centenary over Afternoon Tea. Winnie the Pooh-inspired touches have been added across the Classic, Savoury, High Tea and Children’s menus, bringing a little Hundred Acre Wood charm to one of London’s best-known dining experiences.
Syrie Gwyn Palmer, Grocery Buyer at Fortnum & Mason, said: “Creating the first authentic Hundred Acre Wood Hunny is the most wonderful way to honour the legacy of Disney Winnie the Pooh, whose world is so in keeping with the core beliefs at the heart of Fortnum’s – sustainability, charm, and the very finest British honey.”
