Amazon reheats Fire TV line-up for 2026 with new designs, smarter features, and better pictures

Amazon Fire TV 2026 on wall

Amazon has launched a new range of Fire TV screens, comprising updated versions of its Fire TV 2 Series, Fire TV 4 Series and flagship Fire TV Omni QLED Series. The new models boast a refreshed industrial design, with improved processing fuelling faster content discovery and generally usability.

Taking top billing is the Fire TV Omni QLED line, offering higher brightness, local dimming and enhanced picture processing. It’s supported by the Fire TV 4 Series, its everyday 4K mainstream offerings, and the entry-level HD Fire TV 2 Series.

Across all models, Amazon has introduced a revised quad-core processor, said to deliver a 30 per cent performance increase over previous generations.

Design updates include slimmer profiles and ultra-thin bezels on the 2 and 4 Series, while the Omni QLED models place greater emphasis on screen presence and ambient integration.

Inside Amazon’s new Fire TV models

Naturally, all the new tellies run the Fire TV smart OS, with integrated voice control, content aggregation and smart home connectivity.

The Fire TV Omni QLED Series has double the number of local dimming zones of its predecessor, alongside support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+ Adaptive.

New this season is OmniSense, which uses presence detection to switch the TV on when someone enters the room and power it down when the room is empty. When not in use, the TV can display photos or artworks.

The Fire TV 2 Series and Fire TV 4 Series serve as the more accessible end of the range. The 2 Series are HD resolution only, while the 4 Series offer full UHD output.

Screen sizes and picture technologies

The new Fire TV range is available in the following configurations:
Fire TV 2-Series (HD): 32-, 40-inches
Fire TV 4-Series (4K): 43-, 50-, 55-inches.
Fire TV Omni QLED Series: 50-, 55- and 65-inches.

Picture technologies vary by tier, with the Omni QLED models offering colour rich QLED panels, local dimming, Dolby Vision and HDR10+ Adaptive, while the 4-Series focuses on 4K resolution and mainstream HDR support. The 2-Series is built around HD panels for secondary-room use.
