Cygnet 77 is a decadent new gin that marries Manuka honey with Welsh whisky casks

Cygnet 77 decanter on wood

Cygnet Gin, the Welsh luxury spirit brand co-founded by classical music star Katherine Jenkins OBE and artist-filmmaker Andrew Levitas, has launched Cygnet 77, a premium gin with a novel twist.

The expression, which made its global debut at an exclusive launch event held in  Harrods, follows the debut of Cygnet 22, and continues the brand’s mission to challenge conventions in the gin category. Cygnet 77 is designed to be sipped neat over ice or showcased in a classic martini.

Distilled at the Copperworks Distillery in Wales, the Cygnet 77 journey begins with the brand’s signature gin base. At the heart of its distinctive profile is Manuka honey, a botanical that imbues the gin with subtle sweetness and earthy complexity.

It’s then matured for over 12 months in hand-selected Welsh whisky casks, an unconventional aging process said to infuse the liquid with warmth, depth, and character.

At the heart of its luxurious profile is Manuka honey, a botanical that imbues the gin with subtle sweetness and earthy complexity…

Bottled at 40% ABV, Cygnet 77 blends floral elegance with cask-aged richness. On the nose, we’re promised a soft, meadow-like aroma, with hints of chamomile and spring blossom. On the palate, expect classic juniper, mellow caramelised honey, and delicate oak spice.

As with previous releases, Cygnet 77 is housed in the award-winning Eirlys decanter, a striking, hand-blown vessel shaped like a water droplet. Inspired by the pristine Welsh water used in distillation, the decanter is also designed for reuse as a vase, candlestick holder, or carafe.

Cygnet 77 is priced at £129, and is available exclusively at Harrods for four weeks from launch, before moving into wider distribution.
