High-end kitchens are getting smarter with the news that premium German appliance maker Miele has added voice control to its built-in latest kitchen refrigeration models.
Its innovative ActiveDoor technology allows users to open and close the doors automatically with voice commands, using Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.
The trick is featured on two upgraded models in its 2024 range, the K7797 C Built-in Fridge and matching FNS 7794 D freezer.

The Miele K 7797 C Built-in Fridge with ActiveDoor features four shelves, three crisper drawers, a chrome-plated metal bottle rack, five door shelves and an automatically controlled temperature zone that operates between 0 and 3˚C for meat, fish and dairy products.
It’s designed to partner the Miele FNS 7794 D freezer, which also has ActiveDoor technology. This NoFrost freezer, which can also be opened by knocking twice on the door, offers eight drawers, including Ice and PizzaBox drawers, LED lighting, and smart home connectivity.
Miele opens Mayfair Experience Centre
The launch of these ActiveDoor models follows the opening of the new Miele Experience Centre in Mayfair, London.
Located opposite The Ritz hotel, the centre is a showcase the latest home technology from the brand, and will host live cooking demonstrations, product launches, and exclusive events.
The Miele K 7797 C Built-in Fridge with ActiveDoor, and Miele FNS 7794 D Built-in Freezer with ActiveDoor, are priced at £3,499 respectively.
