Camden Town on TV: Star studded music documentary series Camden is coming to Disney+

London’s Camden finds itself the star of a new music docu-series on Disney+. Featuring anecdotes and commentary from a host of stars, including Chris Martin, Little Simz, Nile Rodgers, Boy George, and Yungblud, the show has been executive produced by Dua Lipa.

In each episode, musicians reveal how their lives and careers were changed forever by this celebrated London borough.  Also confirmed to appear are Pete Doherty and Carl Barat of The Libertines, Mark Ronson, Questlove, Black Eyed Peas, Soul II Soul’s Jazzie B, Chuck D and Sister Bliss from Faithless.

Long a lively haven for live music in the Capital, from the Dublin Castle pub to the Electric Ballroom, via Dingwalls and the Roundhouse, we’re promised the series will reveal ‘the extraordinary untold stories of how the lives and careers of many of today’s most iconic music acts were shaped by Camden.’

The series is produced by Lightbox, the production company founded by Academy Award winning producer Simon Chinn and Emmy-winning producer Jonathan Chinn in association with Day One Pictures, the production company co-founded by Amy Winehouse’s original manager Nick Shymansky and Radical22. 

It’ll debut on the Disney+ streaming service this May. We’ll be watching it on the telly in the Hawley Arms…
