Based on the beloved film starring the late Robin Williams, Mrs. Doubtfire tells the story of out-of-work actor Daniel Hillard, who will do anything to stay in his kids’ lives after a messy divorce. In a desperate attempt to see them, he creates the persona of Scottish nanny Euphegenia Doubtfire, and as this new character takes on a life of her own, Daniel learns some valuable lessons about fatherhood.

Mrs. Doubtfire was created by a team from both sides of the Atlantic. Wayne Kirkpatrick and Karey Kirkpatrick are responsible for the original music and lyrics, while Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’Farrell (known for their work on Something Rotten!) wrote the book. The direction is by 4-time Tony winner Jerry Zaks, with choreography by Lorin Latarro and music supervision, arrangements, and orchestrations by Ethan Popp.

The scenic design is by David Korins (Hamilton), costume design by Catherine Zuber (Moulin Rouge! The Musical), lighting design by Philip S. Rosenberg (Pretty Woman The Musical), sound design by Brian Ronan (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical), and hair design by David Brian Brown (Frozen). The casting is by Stuart Burt, with Verity Naughton as the Children’s Casting Director.

Mrs. Doubtfire is set to begin performances on May 12, 2023.
