Barcelona-based car brand Hispano Suiza has delivered its first electric hypercar to a grateful car collector in the US.
Entrepreneur Michael Fux became the first owner of a Carmen Boulogne, at the 27th edition of the Amelia Island Concours d ‘Elegance, a high-profile automotive event held last week in Florida.
The fully electric Carmen Boulogne is capable of developing 1,114 hp, courtesy of four electric engines housed on its rear wheels. The vehicle has been customised by the Hispano Suiza design department in Barcelona, to Fux’s preferences, including a distinctive paint job.

The Spanish hypercar is resplendent in Ocean Song Rose, a purple tone inspired by Fux’s favourite flower, the Ocean Song rose, which he sent from Miami to the brand’s Design department, so that they could reproduce the same hue on the bodywork.
All the panels that shape its bodywork are in carbon fibre with a layer of Alutex. This finish is combined with Birkigt White colour design details, that complete its livery.
Polished aluminium alloy wheels are distinguished by accents, monoblock nuts painted to match the bodywork. The distinctive grille with the Hispano Suiza logo is finished in a contrasting high-gloss black.
The interior is covered in Birkigt White leather, again to contrast with the purple tones of the bodywork. The name of the model, Boulogne, is embroidered on the headrests.
Fux says one of his earliest memories was sitting on his grandfather’s lap while in his car, a 1940s Chrysler. He has since amassed an extensive collection of exotic sports vehicles, all preserved in his no doubt cavernous garage.
Aged in oak for 50 years, Taylor’s Single Harvest 1976 Port is the latest addition to its prestigious collection of long-aged, cask-matured port. Drawn from a single year’s harvest and matured in oak, it boasts a copper-amber colour in the glass, with aromas of gingerbread, Seville orange, marzipan and soft caramel. On the palate, the…

January is famously rather rude to our bank accounts. The decorations come down, the credit card statement arrives, and suddenly even a latte starts to feel like a luxury purchase. But one London restaurant is doing the Lord’s work this winter… by taking its prices straight back to 2015. For the entire month of January,…
