Feature-packed Marshall Milton A.N.C. headphones have more stamina than Mick Jagger

Marshall’s latest on-ear headphones, the Milton A.N.C., will keep you rocking for days, offering 50 hours of playtime with active noise cancelling engaged, and a remarkable 80 hours without.

Clearly designed for life on the road, their durable, foldable design holds its shape no matter how it’s packed, while memory foam ear cushions ensure comfort over extended listening sessions.

The look is unmistakably Marshall, with square-shaped TPU moulded ear cups and characteristic textured leather surface, complemented by a brass metal logo and powder coated metal arms.  Inside is a completely new 32mm driver, crafted for these particular cans.

The look may be classic but the feature set is forward facing, breaking new ground for company.

There’s Bluetooth 6.0 with LE-Audio, compatible with SBC, AAC, and LC3. The headphones also support wireless hi-res streaming using the LDAC codec, a first for the brand, as well as next-generation, adaptive active noise cancelling, able to adjust in real time (another technology first).

Not only does the Adaptive ANC adjust according to environmental noise, it also alter the bass and mi-range balance to better cope with noisy surrounding. When it’s important to let the outside back in, there’s also a Transparency mode to ensure your surroundings can be heard.

Adaptive Loudness is another automated feature. This subtly adjusts audio playback tonality to the listening volume and environment, so whatever the volume, sound quality remains rich and full.

A customisable M button toggles between ANC and Transparency modes, and turns soundstage spatial audio on and off.

“We’ve increased the ear cushion size to help keep the sound in and improve passive noise attenuation. Larger earpads and softer memory foam also mean the headphones are more comfortable to wear over longer periods. We’ve introduced an entirely new driver system tuned to improve bass and treble extension, delivering dynamic Hi-Res audio with rich details. On top of that, 6 microphones optimally placed for ANC and call complement the acoustic design for highly effective noise reduction.” says Nicolas Pignier Delafontaine, Senior Manager, Audio & Acoustic at Marshall Group

Audio tuning said to be somewhere between the brand’s Major V and Monitor headphones – energetic and entertaining.

The headphones also come with Soundstage spatial audio, an in-house developed spatialization algorithm, first used on the brand’s portable speaker line-up. The Soundstage feature can be activated in the app to add depth and width to any stereo track.

At launch the Milton A.N.C. are available in black, but cream and brown colourways are due to join the band in September.

Marshall Milton A.N.C. headphones hit retail May 27, priced £179.99 ($229.99, €199).
