Recording The Rolling Stones Foreign Tongues
Foreign Tongues was recorded at Metropolis Studios in West London, where The Rolling Stones spent less than a month cutting the album. The sessions reunited Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood with producer Andrew Watt, who had previously overseen Hackney Diamonds.
The album includes contributions from Darryl Jones, Matt Clifford and Steve Jordan, with additional appearances from Steve Winwood, Paul McCartney, Robert Smith of The Cure and Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers. Poignantly, one track also features Charlie Watts, taken from one of his final recording sessions before his passing in 2021.
