Personal audio specialist SIVGA hopes to capitalise on the growing trend back to wired earphones, with the launch of the M260, a retro-inspired in-ear model that combines the simplicity of traditional tethered listening with modern acoustic engineering.
There are no batteries to charge, no Bluetooth pairing routines to navigate and no concerns over latency. Instead, the focus is on straightforward plug-and-play listening with old-school cool.
Drawing inspiration from the early days of portable cassette and CD, the SVIGA M260 earbuds feature a classic open-style form factor with a metallic finish and exposed grille detailing.
Of course, there’s plenty going on inside…

They may be small, but the M260 employs a substantial 14.2mm dynamic driver. At its heart is a copper-ring composite bio-diaphragm, engineered to improve diaphragm control and reduce unwanted distortion. The aim is a balanced, natural presentation with clear vocals and a smooth tonal character.
Supporting the driver is a lightweight Copper-Clad Aluminium Wire voice coil, which is intended to improve transient response and clarity. An N50 neodymium magnet system provides the magnetic force required to maintain control across the frequency range, contributing to a presentation that SIVGA describes as dynamic yet composed.
With a frequency response rated from 20Hz to 20kHz, sensitivity of 118dB and a low 16-ohm impedance, the earbuds can be driven comfortably from smartphones, tablets, computers and portable gaming systems, without requiring a dedicated headphone amplifier.
One feature likely to appeal to enthusiasts is the detachable MMCX cable system. Rather than treating the cable as a disposable component, users can replace or upgrade it when required. The supplied 1.2m cable uses 4N silver-plated oxygen-free copper conductors and is designed to provide both durability and efficient signal transmission.
Two connection options are available. The standard model features a 3.5mm L-shaped plug. A second version uses a USB-C connector and incorporates a Realtek ALC5686 digital-to-analogue converter capable of supporting audio up to 32-bit/384kHz. This version also includes an integrated microphone and in-line controls for calls, playback and volume adjustment.
