High-end German audio brand T+A elektroakustik, has unveiled a new colour variant of its critically acclaimed Solitaire T headphone range. The Cognac White edition retains the technical spec of the original White Hi-Fi cans, while introducing a fresh, intoxicating aesthetic.
The Solitaire T was conceived as a do-it-all reference headphone, equally comfortable delivering high-fidelity performance in passive wired mode, or providing class-leading wireless audio on the move. This dual capability is preserved in the new Cognac White variant; T+A’s design team has instead turned its attention to enhancing the headphone’s visual and tactile appeal.
The new finish combines crisp white ear cups with a rich cognac-brown headband, creating a bi-colour palette. This pairing is elevated further with matching ear cup inserts and pads, reinforcing the sense of luxury and craftsmanship.
A newly designed transport case completes the cosmetic overhaul. Crafted from animal-free leather in the same cognac hue, the case includes a self-adhesive cable holder.

While the Solitaire T Cognac White’s design may turn heads, its real strength remains its acoustic performance. At the heart of the headphone is T+A’s proprietary 42mm transducer, featuring a specialised cellulose diaphragm.
This diaphragm was chosen specifically for its optimal combination of rigidity and lightness, allowing it to reproduce complex musical passages with both speed and precision, while resisting unwanted resonance.
The Solitaire T’s wireless performance is built around Qualcomm’s QCC 5127 chipset, for low-latency, high-resolution Bluetooth transmission, and the Esstech ES9218 Sabre DAC, which handles digital-to-analogue conversion.
Together, these allow the Solitaire T Cognac White to perform at a level far beyond typical Bluetooth headphones, making it a serious contender for critical listening, says the brand.
The Solitaire T Cognac White is available now, priced at £1,350 ($1,849 / €1,490).
