Lauded Cognac house Maison Courvoisier has unveiled its first Prestige Expression, Extra, in collaboration with Harrods. The exclusive release celebrates the iconic Knightsbridge store’s 175th anniversary.
To create a distinctive look for the release, the Cognac house has teamed up with British artist and art director Clym Evernden, known for his signature ink-based illustrations, to design a limited-edition bottle that captures the essence of both Courvoisier and Harrods.
His artwork portrays the Maison in Jarnac alongside the iconic façade of Harrods’ Knightsbridge department store.

A visual journey through Maison Courvoisier and Harrods Heritage
Evernden’s design for the Harrods edition acts as a visual journey through the history of the brand, featuring the scenic landscapes of the cognac region, complete with rolling vineyards, ageing casks, and the Charente River.
Part of the Prestige Collection, which also includes L’Essence XO, and XO Royal, Maison Courvoisier will globally debut Extra this year, with Harrods serving as the sole UK retailer, in conjunction with its 175th-anniversary celebration. Fittingly only175 bottles of this limited edition will be available.
Courvoisier Extra boasts an intense taste profile, crafted by Maison Courvoisier’s Chief Blender, Thibaut Hontanx. It’s said to be exotic, tart and sharp, and is ideally paired with green fruits and tangy dishes.
Sarah Isaac, Head of Suntory Global Spirit Brands at Edrington UK, remarks on the collaboration, saying Evernden’s joyful artistry aligns perfectly with Courvoisier’s world.
“The partnership with Clym Evernden was originally born out of an attraction to his style of illustration. The light, bright, joyful artistry is in keeping with the world we have for Courvoisier. He has magnificently brought to life the partnership of Courvoisier and Harrods, a homage to our shared values of celebrating the finest things in life, crafted with mastery, artistry and creative flair, with an unparalleled commitment to excellence.”
The Harrods edition, limited to 175 bottles, will sell for £450, and will be exclusively offered at Harrods UK, both in-store and online, from July 1, 2024.
