Formula 1 superstar Lewis Hamilton is known for his speed on the racetrack, but now he’s making big moves in the world of premium beverages. The debut expression, Almave Ambar Distilled Non-Alcoholic Blue Agave Spirit, marks Hamilton’s first foray into the drinks business.
While tequila has long been the seven time F1 champion’s drink of choice, the racing icon sought a non-alcoholic alternative that would keep his mind clear on race weekends.
Partnering with Mexican craft spirit experts, Casa Lumbre, Hamilton embarked on a quest to create an authentic agave-based drink that would satisfy any craving for a non-alcoholic margarita.
The result is Almave Ambar, said to capture the essence of traditional tequila without the alcohol. With tasting notes of roasted blue agave, sweet caramel, and toasted wood, Almave is said to offer a sophisticated sipping experience.

Speaking about his latest venture, Sir Lewis expressed his excitement, saying, “There’s a huge appetite for quality alternatives for those times when people don’t want to drink alcohol but also don’t want to compromise on flavour. I think it tastes amazing, and what we have created is unlike anything else on the market.”
Behind the scenes, Casa Lumbre’s Master Distiller and Founder, Ivan Saldana, played a crucial role in bringing Hamilton’s vision to life. Together, they developed an entirely new distillation process that captures the complexity and delicate flavours of freshly milled agave, all without producing alcohol.
Commenting on the innovative approach, Saldana said, “We are pleased that we have maintained the true production and craft of making tequila, but without the alcohol. While there are faster ways to make this, we could not imagine a worthwhile ‘spirit’ without it.”
