Gotta catch ’em all: Suntory Whisky celebrates centenary with 100 cocktails at 100 UK bars

A Yamazaki whisky highball next to a bottle of the famed Japanese whisky

Japanese whisky pioneer the House of Suntory continues its centenary celebration by partnering with 100 of the UK’s most prestigious bars, to create 100 anniversary-inspired cocktails and serves.

Venues taking part include Three Sheets, Coupette, The Londoner, Ham Yard Hotel, The American Bar at Gleneagles and Calcot Manor Hotel.

Universally regarded as the pioneer of Japanese whisky, the House of Suntory has played a pivotal role in shaping Japanese whisky and spirits culture. The 100 bars initiative follows the launch of the brand’s anniversary campaign in May, with the House partnering with Academy Award-winning Director Sofia Coppola and Keanu Reeves.

The Suntory 100 bars event, which features a cavalcade of cocktails and curated menus, runs from July until the end of the year.

Each drink will feature a product from the Suntory spirits portfolio, including Toki and Hibiki, Roku gin and Haku vodka. There’s also an opportunity to sample new limited-edition whiskies commemorating the anniversary, the Yamazaki 18 Year Old Mizunara and the Hakushu 18 Year Old Peated Malt.
