A visitor explores Spyscape HQ in New York City

Next time you visit New York City, don’t forget to pack your cape and cowl. A new themed interactive visitor attraction featuring the caped crusader is opening this summer.

Top scientists in Gotham City are missing and the world is in upheaval. The Bat signal is in the sky. Time to step up and help Batman solve the mystery!

Featuring an original narrative by acclaimed comic book writer Gail Simone, and new art by Jim Calafiore, the attraction promises to take fans on a top-secret mission to infiltrate an underworld organisation, Leviathan, whose goal is to disrupt the superhero and supervillain communities.

Visitors will be recruited by the World’s Greatest Detective, to help Oracle, better known as Barbara Gordon (aka Batgirl), solve the nefarious kidnappings.

A huge screen inside Spyscape's museum attraction
Spyscape has become a major visitor attraction in NYC

We’re told the adventure will play out ‘in an immersive physical world of rich media and interactivity enhanced by a real time, real world mobile app.’ As you explore the attraction, you’ll need to gather intel and communicate with some of Gotham City’s most notorious characters through the app.

Spyscape specialises in physical and digital experiences, based around spy and superhero narratives. Its 60,000 sq ft HQ, designed by Sir David Adjaye, is a top rated NYC museum and experience in its own right.

The immersive exhibition design is by Mona Kim Projects.
