One of the world’s leading international car events, Salon Privé, is set to make its London debut this year – and it promises an uber-luxe London garden party not to be missed.
While the high-end jewel in the UK’s automotive calendar, Salon Privé’s flagship Concours d’Elégance, will continue to hold its summer social with its annual event at Blenheim Palace from 31 August to 4 September 2022, this year the all-new London event will start the season with as Europe’s first automotive manufacturer event, hitting Chelsea from April 21 to 23 2022, and setting up Salon Privé London and Salon Privé Blenheim to now book-end the famed British social calendar (view our highlights from the ever-elegant 2021 event, here.) As opening and closing parties go, it doesn’t get much better than this.

Whereas Blenheim Palace’s traditional Concours d’Elégance is open exclusively to privately owned cars and it is forbidden to enter a car that is for sale, at Salon Privé London the complete opposite will be true. Instead, everything you see at the festival will be for sale. The new ‘Concours de Vente’ will feature 60 of the very best collector cars from the UK and Europe’s most prominent specialist dealers, with all of them available for sale, if you can’t face tearing yourself apart from them at the end of the day.

It’s not just about the horsepower either: the new show is primed to be a must-visit party, whether you’re a supercar enthusiast or prefer to simply admire a classic car while quaffing champagne. Expect the most glamorous day festival in the automotive calendar, complete with galas, cocktail parties, parades and more.
This new edition is the brainchild of Salon Privé co-founder Andrew Bagley, who explains, “This is a world exclusive – an opportunity for the global elite collector car dealers to take centre stage themselves and enter a car in the inaugural Salon Privé Concours de Vente with all the cars in the new concours for sale across the three days of the event. But there will be judging and silverware too, with the most-prized classic car being awarded the ultimate Prix d’Honneur in the Concours de Vente Gala Dinner on the Friday night in the Great Hall of the Royal Hospital Chelsea.”
Bagley continues, ‘It is time for the world’s best collector car dealers to enjoy being “the guest” for a change, with three days of cocktail parties, judging, parades, galas and more. Salon Privé Concours de Vente is set to turn the concours world upside down.”
