British car enthusiasts will get their first chance to admire the Automobili Estrema Fulminea up close at this year’s Salon Privé, which returns to Blenheim Palace September 1- 5 2021.
The Fulminea aims to be the first car in the world to use a hybrid battery pack that combines Li-ion cells with solid-state electrolyte and ultracapacitors. Its quad electric motor setup provides 100kWh of energy, with a total output equivalent to 2040hp.
It’s this novel power plant which ostensibly sets it apart from rival EV hypercars, like the Lotus Evija and the Pininfarina Battista.
The two-seater promises 0 to 320kph in less than 10 seconds, with a predicted range of 520km.

The Fulminea has a striking streamlined design
The Fulminea sports a striking streamlined design, with active aerodynamic elements such as the front air intake and retractable rear wing.
Lightweight composite materials and a battery weight of only 300kg, combine for a kerb weight of 1500kg.
The stunning newcomer will be part of a new Concepts & Prototypes class in the event’s prestigious Concours d’Elégance.
Built by new Italian manufacturer Automobili Estrema, the Fulminea is scheduled to go on sale in the second half of 2023. Only 61 cars are to be produced.
Gianfranco Pizzuto, Founder and CEO of Automobili Estrema, says the Fulminea heralds a new generation of electric cars. “It has all the characteristics of a racing car, but features a fully electric powertrain and innovative solutions,” he says.
Salon Privé Director David Bagley says the show “has a long tradition of attracting the most unique, radical and exhilarating automotive designs, many of which have been unveiled for the first time at the event.”
The Concepts & Prototypes class will see ten of the most stylish and innovative automotive designs displayed on the cricket square on the South Lawn of Blenheim Palace.
Now in its 16th year, Salon Privé Week has become a must-visit showcase for car aficionados. A Partner Concours to the Peninsula Classics’ Best of the Best Award, Salon Privé is held annually within the grounds of Blenheim Palace.
