The reality star, business powerhouse and cosmetic dentist runs her own dental practice in Merseyside, specialising in cosmetic dentistry and facial aesthetics. With the new eleventh series of The Real Housewives of Cheshire on ITVbe bringing us some much-needed lavish escapism and perfectly blow-dried drama (and not to mention, welcome vicarious living – remember getting dressed up and going to parties?), we spoke to Hanna as she revealed her expert, tried-and-tested beauty and skincare recommendations, the luxury products that are worth investing in, and the celeb whose style she idolises most.
How would you describe your beauty style?
I like a more natural, bronze, sun-kissed look.
Talk us through your daily beauty routine…
In the morning, I always cleanse and tone my face – I love Universkin products. Then, I always apply an SPF on my face, even if I’m going to work and wearing very little makeup. SPF is so important to slow ageing, and my favourite one is by Clarins. I then use a MAC foundation (I like a medium coverage) and bronzer to give my skin a glow. Sometimes I wear concealer under my eyes if I’ve not slept too well or am tired! Then, usually I use liquid eyeliner on my upper eyelids – I love a thick line with a flick – and then pencil eyeliner to draw in my water line. For my lips, I always use a pinky-nude lipliner and use two lipsticks and blend the colours together. Obviously, my night out makeup would be different as I’d apply lashes and eyeshadow: Urban Decay is my fave. In the evening, I remove all of my makeup, cleanse my skin and then use a night cream.
What products are on your vanity table at the moment?
Lots of perfume! I absolutely love perfume, Chanel COCO is my absolute favourite scent! But I do love DKNY and Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb, too.
What beauty product do you always have in your handbag?
I always always carry lip balm in my handbag, I cannot stand it when my lips get dry. You can never go wrong with a nice moisturised, shiny lip!
I think lashes play a huge role in looking glam – the fluffier the better!
What’s the most luxurious beauty product you use?
I use a Chanel mascara which, compared to other mascaras, is pretty pricey but it is absolutely amazing. It’s the best one I’ve ever tried. It is well worth the price for really thick voluminous lashes!
What products do you think are worth the investment of spending more on?
I think it’s important to have a good quality foundation and eyeshadow. Cheaper eyeshadows don’t tend to apply very well and having a foundation specific to your skin type is very important. Foundation sits on the skin all day, so a good quality product with good ingredients is essential.

What beauty products could you not live without and why?
Lip liner, lipstick and eyeliner. I always think lips and eyes are the most noticeable features on the face so a good lipstick and eyeliner are what I just couldn’t live without.
What’s been your most extravagant beauty purchase, and was it worth it?
I bought a Natasha Denona 21-piece brush set from Harrods once. I think the set was around £300, but the brushes are incredible and have lasted a lifetime. All in all, I don’t regret it!

Could you give us some tips for looking Real Housewives glam?
I think lashes play a huge role in looking glam – the fluffier the better! I always find once I’ve finished my makeup and apply the lashes, they just add that super glam finish. I love Tatti Lashes and Glamif-Eye ones, too. After some practice I can put them on super quickly.
Do you have a makeup fail that you look back on and cringe?
Yes! I sometimes look back of scenes of me on the show and think, ‘Oh my god, that bronzer was overkill!’ or, ‘That eyeshadow was just too much!’ But applying and experimenting with makeup is always a learning curve and you have to try new things to see what suits you best.
