Music fans and whisky lovers are in for a treat, as the Renaissance Roadshow returns to home turf on May 7 with a special listening event at the Loud & Clear showroom in Edinburgh.
It’s a rare opportunity to experience award-winning £129,500 Audiovector R 10 Arreté loudspeakers, a no-compromise floor standing enclosure that redefines what’s possible in audio design, coupled to some top-flight electronics. Making the event even more memorable, Tailored Spirits will be on hand, offering free whisky tasting sessions – a unique combination of exceptional speakers and premium spirits.
“This promises to be a great event featuring the perfect combination of extraordinary Hi-Fi, good music and exceptional whisky,” said John Carroll, Managing Director of Renaissance. “I know that our guests will love this opportunity to hear the R 10 Arretés. After all, it’s not every day that one gets the chance to listen to a pair of £129,500 loudspeakers in a £375,000 system whilst drinking fine whisky!”
In addition to the R 10 Arreté, the full range of Audiovector loudspeakers will be on display.

The ultimate whisky a go go
Handmade in Denmark, the R 10 Arreté is Hi-Fi at its finest, a hand-crafted ultra‑high‑end floorstander designed to deliver astonishingly dynamic sound using advanced driver technology and impeccably crafted cabinetry.
It’s the Danish brand’s reference model, and the pinnacle of the company’s lauded R‑Series. Features include the brand’s distinctive Dual Air Motion tweeter and Soundstage Enhancement Concept (SEC), for an exceptionally open, and airy treble, and a unique rear-mounted eight driver bass array.
Guests are promised a lively and informative presentation from the Renaissance team and Hans-Henrik from Audiovector, followed by an unforgettable listening session, before passing over to Tailored Spirits.
With access to an ever changing selection of high-quality Scotch whisky casks and premium spirits, the team from Tailored Spirits specialise in creating perfect drams in bespoke bottles. We’ve sampled one of their bottlings for Loud & Clear and it was sublime!
And if whisky isn’t for you, there will also be wine, sherry and port on hand.
Warm hospitality, friendly conversation, and good music are guaranteed, says Carroll. And yes, The Luxe Review will be there too, so come share a dram with us.
The Renaissance Music & Whisky event takes place May 7 2026: 15:00 – 20:00, at Loud & Clear, 94 Commercial Street, Edinburgh EH6 6LX.
Listening sessions run from 16:00 – 19:00. Whisky tastings take place at 17:00 and 18:30. For more information, and to book your slot, visit Loud & Clear here.
