Mbappé and Guetta front Loewe Leo luxury headphone launch: hi-res audio and 65-hour battery

Luxury German AV brand Loewe has unveiled its first mass-produced over-ear headphones, signalling a significant side-step for the company best known for TV and speakers. The new model, called Leo, combines advanced acoustic engineering with the brand’s long-standing reputation for design and craftsmanship.

At the heart of the Leo is a 50mm driver with a diaphragm crafted from Olefin Composite Elastomer (OCE), a lightweight and durable material designed for fast response and natural damping. This engineering is intended to deliver a clear, balanced sound signature, with detailed highs, natural vocals, and smooth bass.

Adaptive noise cancellation, spatial audio, and more

The posh cans support Hi-Res and spatial audio, Dolby Atmos, and Bluetooth LE. Wireless playback is enhanced with LC3+ at 96kHz / 24-bit. Users can also personalise their listening experience through Mimi Sound Personalisation, available via the Loewe app.

Additional smart features include adaptive active noise cancellation, built-in voice assistant support, multipoint connectivity, and real-time AI translation. Usability is aided by a combination of rotary dials and touch controls.

Battery life extends to 65 hours, with USB-C fast charging available.

Materials reflect Loewe’s heritage in premium design, with an anodised aluminium frame, genuine leather ear cushions, and ergonomic shaping for long-term comfort.

The launch is accompanied by a high-profile campaign fronted by global football star Kylian Mbappé and DJ-producer David Guetta.

The arrival of Leo follows a high-profile limited edition headphone collaboration with luxury jeweller Jacob & Co. for the Leo bespoke edition. Limited to ten pieces worldwide, each handcrafted headset is set with around 12 carats of gemstones and carries a six-figure price tag.

The Loewe Leo headphones will be available in midnight blue and moonlight beige, priced at €1,299.
