Macduff 2003 21 Year Old, Berry Bros & Rudd for The Whisky Exchange

ABV 58%, £169 The Whisky Exchange – Limited to 358 bottles
This exclusive Highland whisky, bottled in partnership with Berry Bros. & Rudd, was matured in a single sherry butt for 21 years. The result is a whisky that balances Macduff’s signature fruit-forward character with the depth and richness imparted by the cask.

Tasting notes speak of stewed orchard fruits, dark cherries, and a hint of cinnamon spice on the nose, with layers of dried fruits, walnuts, and chocolate orange, complemented by a subtle oak influence, on the palate. The finish is said to be long and warming, with lingering notes of spiced plum and toasted almonds.

Millstone 2010 12 Year Old PX Sherry Cask #B237 Exclusive to The Whisky Exchange

ABV 53.2%,  £87.95 The Whisky Exchange
Crafted by the Millstone distillery in the Netherlands, this 12-year-old single malt was exclusively selected by The Whisky Exchange. Aged in a single Pedro Ximénez sherry butt, this whisky balances sweetness and spice. Uncorked, expect aromas of honeyed raisins, treacle, and fresh figs, with a delicate nutmeg undertone. On the palate we’re promised toffee, honeycomb, and yellow sultanas, leading to a complex and rich mouthfeel. The exit boasts a lingering sweetness with hints of cocoa and dried apricot.

ABV 54.8%, £275 The Whisky Exchange
Bottled exclusively by independent bottlers Gordon & MacPhail, this Glenburgie expression has been aged for 28 years in a single refill bourbon barrel.

We’re told delicate floral notes, ripe pear, and vanilla pod, with a hint of honeyed cereal greet the nose, with flavours of baking spice, dried mango. The mouthfeel is said to be silky, underscored by gentle oak tannins. Expect a lingering finish, with sweet spice, ginger, and caramel.
