Maserati Gran Cabrio Folgore Fuoriserie is a customised tribute to Tignanello vineyard

Maserati GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello

Maserati has produced a customised Fuoriserie version of its first electric convertible, the Gran Cabrio Folgore, in the colour of Tignanello red wine, to celebrate the vineyard’s 50th anniversary.

Produced exclusively for Marchesi Antinori, for auction at Festival Napa Valley’s Arts for All Gala, the car takes its design cues from the vineyard itself.

The seats, adorned with a multi-material silver and burgundy ribbed weave, are made of Vegea, an innovative fabric derived from vineyards…

Its Terra di Tignanello paint, a distinctive chestnut with a coppery burgundy hue, is inspired by the rich soil and the characteristic barriques of the vineyard. The metallic finish evokes the essence of the Tignanello estate, while matte black rims, glossy black calipers, and copper-coloured emblems enhance its luxurious allure.

The seats, adorned with a multi-material silver and burgundy ribbed weave, are made of Vegea, an innovative fabric derived from the vineyard.

Used for the first time in a Maserati, the material mimics the feel of leather while paying homage to the rows of vines on the Tignanello hill.

The dark briar wood panels have lasered detailing reminiscent of oak barrel markings, while the Maserati Trident and Tignanello sun emblem are embroidered on the headrests.

The GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello boasts an 800V battery system, leveraging Formula E technology, which the marque says makes this the fastest luxury electric convertible on the market.

This four-seater convertible includes a neck warmer for cooler drives and a wind stopper to minimise turbulence.

A unique Maserati electric convertible for auction

Klaus Busse, Maserati’s Head of Design, emphasised the significance of this collaboration: “This partnership with Marchesi Antinori allows us to capture the essence of bespoke production, crafting tailor-made cars that enhance the driving experience much like an outstanding wine elevates a meal. It’s a proud celebration of Italian excellence.”

Proceeds from the auction will support arts education and community initiatives.
