Nokia phone maker HMD (Human Mobile Devices), will launch a Barbie flip phone in partnership with Mattel this summer, the brand confirmed this week at Mobile World Congress.
Europe’s largest phone manufacturer will create the Barbie Flip Phone, as part of a strategic shift that will see Nokia embark on a series of creative partnerships.
Global toy company Mattel has a portfolio of family entertainment franchises in the world, which it has begun to mine with spectacular effect. The Greta Gerwig directed movie, based on the fashion doll, was a cultural phenomenon in 2023.
