St Martins Lane hotel has collaborated with leading CBD drink specialist TRIP CBD to create a secret summer terrace with a menu of refreshing spritzes and summer cocktails, and fresh, seasonal dishes.
Visitors to the Capital will know just how challenging it can be to find an outdoor oasis where you can chill and dine in the summer sun, which makes this tucked-away terrace in London’s West End, well worth bookmarking!
Pay a visit and you’ll be directed through a stylish lobby to the decorated terrace, signposted by a branded neon sign.
The outdoor space lines the side of the boutique hotel, and offers al-fresco seating for up to 28 guests. Foliage encircles diners, for that English country garden vibe.
For the opening of the terrace, TRIP CBD partnered with St Martins Lane’s in-house mixologists to create bespoke cocktails, paired with a selection of summer dishes.

The TRIP CBD Cocktail list comprised Bon Voyage, featuring TRIP Peach & Ginger CBD, Aperol, boudier crème de pèche, rosemary and fresh lemon; Elixir of Long Life, mixing TRIP Elderflower and Mint CBD with Glenmorangie 10Y, Amaro Montenegro, Aperol and grapefruit; and Aurora Boreal with TRIP Lemon and Basil CBD with Limoncello, Pisco and fresh cucumber and lemon.
TRIP says its CBD infused fruity beverages leave drinkers ‘more productive, less stressed, and more themselves’. We can certainly vouch for their flavour!
CBD is derived from hemp, and claims benefits when it comes to sleep, stress, anxiety, and pain management
The St Martins Lane Terrace menu is a listicle of lovely light bites. To start there’s Spiced Gazpacho with watermelon, pomegranate, sumac and mint sorbet and Tempura Soft Shell Crab with avocado puree, pickled black radish and lotus root to choose from.
Mains include Beef Fillet with confit carrot, mushrooms, ketchup and onion dust; Atlantic Cod with roesti, pea puree, anchovy caper relish and squid ink tuille; and Pea and Shallot Ravioli with charred cauliflower and harissa emulsion.
For those with a sweet tooth, there’s the option of Mascarpone Pannacotta with rosemary, lychee granita, raspberry and rose tea or a Peach Tart with mango, coconut oil and ube ice cream.
We rate the St Martins Lane’s Terrace as an ideal spot for a pre-theatre (CBD-infused) cocktail, or an evening escape when navigating West End – and if you’re planning a city break, the hotel’s location is just about perfect.
So what is CBD?
CBD, short for cannabidiol, is a naturally occurring compound found in the Cannabis sativa plant. It’s one of the many cannabinoids present in the plant, but unlike its counterpart THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), CBD doesn’t produce psychoactive effects, so you won’t feel high when taking it. It’s increasingly being recognised for its potential therapeutic properties.
CBD-infused beverages are a growing trend in the health and wellness industry. These typically contain CBD extract, which is derived from hemp plants. TRIP’s range of CBD drinks have a 15mg per serve.
