AVI-8 Watches launches Flyboy Falklands Royal British Legion limited edition

The AV-4099 Flyboy Royal British Legion Falklands watch on a wrist

Aviation watch specialist AVI-8 has released a second collaboration with the Royal British Legion. The new timepiece follows 2021’s chronograph, which has raised over £33,000 for the charity.

The AV-4099 Flyboy Royal British Legion Falklands 40 Meca-Quartz Limited Edition pays tribute to the men and women who served during the Falklands conflict, 40 years ago.

Reflecting this, the coordinates of the Falkland Islands are stamped at the 6 o’clock position. Once again, there’s the iconic two petal poppy on the seconds hand.

The Flyboy Falklands Limited Edition is limited to 1,500 pieces…

The watch sports a unidirectional bezel with aluminium ring insert, and is available in seven colourways: Woodward, Fieldhouse, Thompson, Wilson, Leach, Lewin and Clapp. Two have a brass finish, for a characteristic AVI-8 vintage aesthetic.

All ship with a 20mm leather strap, complete with side stitching. Case diameter is 40mm. Water resistance is rated at 5ATM.

Produced in line with Remembrance Sunday, the Flyboy Falklands Limited Edition is limited to 1,500 pieces, and with each watch sold, AVI-8 will contribute £10 to the headline charity which supports those who serve and have served in the British Armed Forces, and their families.

The new model is available at AVI-8.co.uk, priced £190, and ships in a blue and red canvas gift box.
