Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse and Minnie perform at Disney100

Disney has announced a series of special events coming to the UK and Europe, as part of its 100th anniversary celebration in 2023, dubbed Disney 100.

Disney fans can look forward to exclusive concerts and immersive experiences, while visitors to Disneyland Paris can also expect Disney100 to feature after October 16 (the day Walt and brother Roy first uncorked their Disney magic), on top of the theme park’s 30th Anniversary celebrations.

The reveals took place at a lavish Disney100 Debut event in Banking Hall, London, hosted by Emma Willis. The party was peppered with live performances from Disneyland Paris and The Lion King cast. Classic Disney characters, as well as familiar figures from Star Wars, Pixar and Marvel Studios put in appearances.

The event also previewed key upcoming Disney movie releases for 2023. There was an exclusive screening of the entire ‘Part of your World’ musical sequence from the new Rob Marshall directed live action version of The Little Mermaid, featuring Ariel (Halle Bailey), and a Work in Progress preview of the Pixar animation Elemental, directed by Peter Sohn.
