Bordeaux wine tastings, cruising in luxury along the French Riviera – and never setting foot inside an airport. If that sounds like your dream way to travel this summer, then you need to know about the new vineyard and rail package which has just been launched by Star Clippers.
Star Clipper will sail the French Riviera and Corsica for summer 2022.
The authentic tall-ship sailing company, which operates three of the world’s largest and tallest fully-crewed sailing vessels, is now offering a new Rail, Sip & Sail package with sailings on board luxury sailing ship, Star Clipper.
Star Clipper boasts authentic teak sun decks complete with pools and an on-deck bar
Available on the premium sailing specialist’s 2022 French Riviera & Corsica sailings, guests will travel from London by Eurostar, before experiencing a 2-night pre-cruise stay in Bordeaux – including a wine tour in Médoc vineyards – followed by a night in Cannes, prior to boarding the 166-capacity tall-ship for 7 nights.
“We are thrilled to offer guests the opportunity to experience a Star Clippers sailing without having to step foot on a plane”
Fay McCormack, Star Clippers General Manager
Once aboard, highlights of the sailing itinerary include St Tropez, Corsica and Portofino, while on the ship, guests will experience first class accommodation and dining more akin to a private yacht than a mega cruise liner. Think swimming pools surrounded by expansive teak sun decks, an elegant yet informal dining room, a fun Tropical Bar on deck and a comfortable piano bar to unwind in, too.
Dining comes courtesy of the Star Clipper’s elegant dining room
Speaking of the new package, Star Clippers General Manager Fay McCormack said, “We are thrilled to offer guests the opportunity to experience a Star Clippers sailing without having to step foot on a plane. This is a really exciting opportunity for sailing and travel enthusiasts.”
