There’s a new Mondrian in town, in Shoreditch East London specifically. The former Curtain hotel is relaunching as the Mondrian Shoreditch London, following a major overhaul and complete redesign by London interior design studio Goddard Littlefair.
With 120-rooms (including 13 suites), the new premium hotel aims to attract foodies and culture-seekers with an arty vibe, rooftop pool and lounge, and Euro-dining experience orchestrated by three Michelin star chef Dani García.
Bibo is García’s first outing in London, a Spanish kitchen serving tapas with courtyard seats.
Dani García said: “I have always been fascinated by the vibrant energy of London and look forward to welcoming guests to our restaurant in the Mondrian hotel which is sure to become a true icon in the district of Shoreditch.”
The Curtain Members’ Club will also re-open at the hotel, which is fittingly located on Curtain Road.
Embracing East London’s thriving creative and cultural community, Mondrian Shoreditch will collaborate with local personalities for pop-ups and performances…

Embracing East London’s creative and cultural communities, management says it will collaborate with local personalities and brands, so expect artistic pop-ups and live performances in The Screening Room.
Mondrian Shoreditch will also host a new all-day café and cocktail bar, Christina’s Shoreditch. Christina’s will source products from local independent suppliers, start-ups and brands. Guests will also get access to the exclusive Altitude Rooftop for breakfast.
Interior design reflects Mondrian’s upbeat character
Reflecting the upbeat character of the Mondrian brand, the reception and lobby will also feature art installations. The double height ground floor bar features large-scale artwork hand-painted onto concrete by Fred Coppin.
The opening follows the recent launch of Mondrian Seoul Itaewon. Coming 2022 is Mondrian Bordeaux and Mondrian Cannes.
Nightly rates at Mondrian Shoreditch London start from £299.
