Eagerly awaited conspiracy thriller Utopia will debut on Amazon Prime Video September 25.
The eight-parter is penned by best-selling author and award-winning screenwriter, Gillian Flynn (Gone Girl, Sharp Objects), who also serves as showrunner and executive producer.
Inspired by the British series of the same name, the new Amazon Original centres on a group of comic book fans who meet online and bond over their obsession of a seemingly fictional comic called, Utopia.
Together, Becky (Ashleigh LaThrop), Ian (Dan Byrd), Samantha (Jessica Rothe), Wilson Wilson (Desmin Borges) and Grant (Javon Walton) unearth hidden meanings cloaked within the pages of Utopia, predicting threats to humanity.

They realise these are not just the makings of a conspiracy; they are very real dangers manifesting in their world. The group embarks on a high-stakes adventure, bringing them face-to-face with the comic’s famed central character, Jessica Hyde (Sasha Lane). Will she join them on their mission to save the world?
The series also stars John Cusack as Dr. Kevin Christie, his first regular role for TV, and Rainn Wilson.
The original Utopia debuted on Channel 4 in 2014, and won plaudits for its black humour, convoluted plot and inventive action.
