This private paradise in the Maldives might be the most beautiful place in the world to isolate

Panoramic views over the sparkling sea, perfect sunset vistas, white sand shores leading from your private deck and infinity pool down to crystal-clear azure waters: since March 2020, we’ve only been able to describe our Animal Crossing island as such. Now, there’s a real-life option to visit which – can you believe it? – we want to spend even more time on.

Secluded in a lush green tropical oasis in the Maldives sits Faarufushi’s ‘Island Residence with Pool’ – and it might just be the most luxurious place on the planet to retreat to.

The single-residence property boasts a spacious 331sqm of pure luxury to escape to, with vaulted timber ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, expansive outdoor terraces, and direct beach access – via your own private infinity pool, naturally.

The private outdoor showers are “perfect for rinsing your sandy toes when you come in from the beach,” the owners tell us, from much-enviable experience…

The super-high-end private home is hidden away in a prime location, on the island’s northwest shore, just where the island’s verdant greenery meets the white sand of Faarufushi’s picturesque beach.

The property looks out on to a wooden, covered private patio with luxe lounge furniture, outdoor daybed swing and outdoor showers: “perfect for rinsing your sandy toes when you come in from the beach,” its owners tell us, from much-enviable experience.

Meanwhile, inside, you’ll find that the separate bedroom and lounge come complete with walk-in wardrobe, individual bathrooms, and even a desk, which, believe it or not, is the most exciting part of this property. Why, you ask, gazing dreamily at impeccable design of the sparkling infinity pool? Well, because the desk means that we could possibly relocate The Luxe Review towers to the residence for the summer and remote work from the beach paradise, of course.

Off from the bedroom, guests will find a spacious indoor bathroom with twin vanity, shower and freestanding jacuzzi tub. While leading out of the villa is a walled private outdoor bathroom and garden, complete with outdoor shower and plunge pool.

If this one-of-a-kind private island residence is involved, we’d happily keep up isolation for, oh, forever…

The expansive lounge includes a private dining area, mini bar, daybed, TV and spectacular floor to ceiling windows, for unrivalled panoramic views out on to the Faarufushi beach. A separate bathroom off from the lounge includes an outdoor shower and small private garden, too.

If this one-of-a-kind private island residence is involved, we’d happily keep up isolation for, oh, forever. In much welcomed news, Faarufushi Maldives will reopen to guests on 1st July 2020. So, if you need us, we’ll be Maldivian social-distancing ourselves away on the daybed, overlooking the ocean. Or maybe just trying to recreate it on Animal Crossing, until we can fly there.
