The upcoming Mark Ruffalo HBO drama I Know This Much Is True, based on the bestselling novel by Wally Lamb, will premiere on Sky Atlantic this June.
The six-parter, by writer and director Derek Cianfrance (Blue Valentine, The Place Beyond the Pines), stars Ruffalo as identical twin brothers Dominick and Thomas Birdsey, in what could well be Awards-winning form. The Marvel star also serves as an executive producer.
The family drama follows the parallel lives of the siblings, beginning as they approach middle-age, but flashing back to their young lives. Sky has released an early look at the show with this first trailer (in which there’s a whole lot of Acting going on)…
Ruffalo does the double in tough family drama
The show also stars Melissa Leo, Rosie O’Donnell, Imogen Poots, Juliette Lewis, Kathryn Hahn and Archie Panjabi.
Writer Cianfrance executive produces, along with Ben Browning and Glen Basner for Film Nation Entertainment.
