Combining the tactile pleasure of records with the convenience of aptX HD Bluetooth streaming, the new Alva TT V2 turntable from Cambridge Audio aims to satisfy music fans of both persuasions.
The record deck can be used in a traditional hi-fi setup, or part of a wirelessly streaming system, feeding Bluetooth headphones or speakers. Quality should remain high: aptX HD Bluetooth supports 24-bit/48kHz hi-res playback.
We’ve seen Bluetooth equipped record decks before, but few that perform at this level. Building on the Alva TT, the world’s first aptX HD Bluetooth turntable, this new iteration features an improved tonearm with detachable headshell, allowing record collectors to easily upgrade, the ability to switch Bluetooth on/off as required, and a switchable phono stage, allowing the deck to be easily integrated into an existing high-end music system.
