As befits a brand long associated with magic, Disney is looking forward to a particularly busy spell in 2026. From major transformations at Disneyland Paris to new shows at Walt Disney World and fresh itineraries for Disney Cruise Line, the next 12 months look certain to keep the Disney faithful entranced.
One of the most significant developments is taking shape at Disneyland Paris, where a fully immersive World of Frozen land will place guests directly into Arendelle. Extending out across a shimmering bay, the new area will feature A Celebration in Arendelle, a live show staged several times a day aboard Viking longships.
The headline attraction, Frozen Ever After, invites visitors to sail with Anna, Elsa and friends, gliding from snow-covered forests to the Valley of Trolls and through Elsa’s Ice Palace. Inside Arendelle Castle, guests will also be able to meet Anna and Elsa during a Royal Encounter, while familiar characters such as Oaken, Olaf and Mossie the baby troll bring the village to life.
Just as important is the wider transformation of the resort’s second park. From March 29 2026, Walt Disney Studios Park becomes Disney Adventure World, nearly doubling in size once the overhaul is complete. New additions include a Tangled-inspired attraction, 15 new dining locations and a large central lake designed to host a new nighttime spectacular.
Linking it all together is Adventure Way, a landscaped promenade lined with gardens inspired by Disney and Pixar stories, from Tangled to Toy Story.
Seasonal live entertainment will rotate throughout the year, with everything from Rapunzel and Flynn’s musical appearances in spring to Mary Poppins in summer and Miguel’s Latin Festival in autumn. A new family ride, Raiponce Tangled Spin, will see guests drifting beneath floating lanterns to the sound of I See the Light, with new audio recorded by Mandy Moore for the attraction.

New magic at Walt Disney World
Across the Atlantic, Walt Disney World continues to refresh and reimagine its most popular experiences. At EPCOT, Frozen Ever After will receive updated audio-animatronic figures from February 2026, using the latest figure technology to enhance movement and realism.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios will see several new family-focused offerings. Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! arrives in the summer, bringing upbeat music and interactive fun with Mickey, Minnie and friends. Later in the season, The Magic of Disney Animation opens its doors, inviting guests inside a playful, behind-the-scenes world inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios, with interactive spaces and a drawing playground influenced by Mary Blair’s original Alice in Wonderland artwork.
Elsewhere, classic attractions are being carefully refreshed rather than replaced. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad reopens in spring at Magic Kingdom following a major refurbishment, and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin follows with new ride vehicles, updated blasters and interactive targets.
Disney Cruise Line expands in 2026
Away from the parks, Disney Cruise Line continues to expand its European presence. The Disney Dream begins its first summer season from Barcelona on May 16 2026, before sailing from Southampton on itineraries around Europe, including Spain, the Norwegian Fjords, the Netherlands and Belgium.
Onboard, the appeal remains the balance between big family entertainment and thoughtful adult escapes. Highlights include the AquaDuck water coaster, Broadway-style stage shows and Disney’s rotational dining concept, where guests move between three themed restaurants while keeping the same service team throughout the voyage.
