Elijah Craig on par with Ryder Cup 2025 limited edition maple and applewood finished bourbon

Elijah Craig Ryder Cup 2025 edition

Elijah Craig has launched a special release to celebrate its role as the official bourbon of the Ryder Cup.

This limited edition bottling begins with fully matured Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon, further finished with toasted staves crafted from 75 per cent sugar maple and 25 per cent applewood, a nod to New York’s state tree and its long association with orchards.

The whiskies were aged separately over an eight-week period before being vatted together and bottled at 47% ABV.

The result is a liquid with truly seasonal character, says the company. The nose opens with rich maple syrup before giving way to notes of apple pie. On the palate, maple sweetness leads to flavours of candy apples and caramel, evoking the autumn season. The finish is said to be soft and warming, with chocolate and cocoa notes rounded by a gentle peppery edge.

Each 700ml bottle is topped with a natural cork and wood closure embossed in gold with the Ryder Cup logo, and is presented in a commemorative gift box designed for collectors and enthusiasts.

Among those taking part in this year’s tournament is Team Europe’s Bob MacIntyre, an Elijah Craig Golf Ambassador making his second consecutive Ryder Cup appearance.

The Elijah Craig 2025 Ryder Cup Limited-Edition Small Batch Bourbon is available now from The Whisky Exchange, priced at £64.75
