Highland distiller The Dalmore has announced three new bottlings in its Distillery Select Series, a limited-edition collection showcasing rare whiskies drawn from its historic warehouses.
This is the second year of the initiative, following a debut in 2024. Each whisky is selected from small parcels of casks that highlight a distinctive dimension of The Dalmore’s house style, characterised by chocolate, orange, and soft spice.
All three are presented natural colour and non-chill filtered.
Available October 11, 2025, the expressions will be sold exclusively through The Dalmore’s online shop and its network of global boutiques.

Distillery Select Series marries wine and whisky heritage
Moving from headline facts to the spirit in the glass, The Dalmore’s Distillery Select Series is designed to capture overlooked treasures from its warehouses. Casks that may not fit neatly into the distillery’s established age-statement or prestige ranges, but have developed unique personalities of their own.
The new collection is made up of three bottlings: a Cabernet Sauvignon Cask Finish (at 51.3% ABV), a Loire Valley Wine Cask Finish (46.8% ABV), and a Colheita Tawny Port Cask Finish (48.2% ABV). Each has been nurtured in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels before being transferred to finishing casks, where they have developed their singular style.
Reflecting their scarcity, quantities vary from a thousand bottles for the Cabernet Sauvignon expression to just 49 for the Colheita Port finish. Prices start at £350 and climb to £5,500.
Cabernet Sauvignon Cask Finish 13 Years 1,002 bottles, £350
Finished for two years in Médoc Cabernet Sauvignon barriques, this expression is said to be ‘charming and full of finesse.’ The nose is bright and inviting, with warm citrus fruits, black toffee, sugared almonds, and ginger spice.
On the palate, there’s poached peach, layered with chocolate mocha and soft liquorice. The finish stretches into tropical fruits and exotic spices, supported by rich berry fruit and lingering antique wood spice.
Loire Valley Wine Cask Finish 17 Years 252 bottles, £1,000
The rarest finish of the trio, Loire Valley Wine Cask, draws its final character from Bouvet Ladubay’s sweet wine barriques, where it’s rested for more than three years. Official tasting notes describe the nose as delicate yet distinctive, offering damson plums, English marmalade, and Madagascan vanilla. Flavours include spices, Demerara sugar, plus orchard and citrus fruits.
Its finish is long, with vanilla, caramel, and baking spices, described by the distillery as ‘enticingly complex.’
Colheita Tawny Port Cask Finish 28 Years 49 bottles, £5,500
The most limited of this year’s collection, with just 49 bottles worldwide, this expression spent four years in vintage 1997 Colheita Port casks sourced from The Dalmore’s long-standing partner, Graham’s Port.
The nose boasts damson plums and exotic fruit, while the palate is said to be ‘like velvet’, opening into roasted pineapple, raspberry coulis, coffee beans, and Seville orange. The finish is deep and layered, with notes of star fruit, liquorice, cacao, and allspice. The distillery calls it ‘a deepened beauty,’ and at nearly three decades old, it clearly wears its maturity with elegance.
The Dalmore Distillery Select Series 2025 will be available from October 11 at The Dalmore website (UK customers only), and at The Dalmore’s boutiques in Spain, Cambodia, and the Philippines.
Members of The Dalmore Guild will enjoy early access two days prior.
