If your idea of the perfect weekend includes sipping artisan tequila, swirling smoky mezcal, and discovering London’s best Mexican eats, clear your calendar. The Tequila & Mezcal Show is heading to Glaziers Hall on May 16–17, promising a two-day fiesta of agave-fuelled discovery right on the banks of the Thames.
Organised by the team behind The Whisky Exchange, who know a thing or two about throwing drinks events, this year’s celebration comes hot on the heels of a huge surge in agave spirit popularity.
In fact, we’re told tequila sales at The Whisky Exchange have skyrocketed by 94 per cent over the past two years, as more drinkers trade their Scotch and bourbon glasses for salt-rimmed cocktails and neat pours of Mexico’s finest.
No longer just a party shot or a holiday treat, tequila, along with its smokier sibling, has undergone a serious renaissance. Crafted with care, aged like Cognac, and championed by a new generation of distillers, these agave spirits are now among the most exciting, nuanced drinks you can add to your collection. London’s bar scene has certainly caught on, and now, so has its biggest drinks show.
What to expect at The Tequila & Mezcal Show 2025
Over two lively sessions (Friday evening and Saturday afternoon), the show will welcome producers, ambassadors, and over 150 different agave spirits for guests to sample. Whether you’re drawn to a crisp, peppery blanco tequila or a rich, smoky mezcal distilled in clay pots, there’ll be plenty to taste, and plenty of experts on hand to guide your journey.
For cocktail lovers, the fun doesn’t stop at sipping neat. The team from The NoMad and 1910 Cantina will be slinging top-tier margaritas, palomas, and more, ensuring every guest experiences the full range of what agave can do. Plus, each ticket includes a complimentary cocktail to kickstart your tasting adventure.
