High-end audio brand Bowers & Wilkins, together with luxury supercar maker and Formula 1 team Mclaren, have announced an extension to their long-term multi-year partnership, which sees Bowers & Wilkins become Official Audio Partner across both McLaren Automotive and the McLaren Formula 1 Team.
This development builds upon a decade-long partnership that has seen Bowers & Wilkins craft premium audio systems for McLaren’s supercars. Since 2015, the two have collaborated on creating in-car sound experiences.
The British audio brand’s engineering expertise, honed at its research and development facility in Southwater, just 30 miles from McLaren’s Technology Centre, aligns with McLaren’s commitment to precision innovation, says Henrik Wilhelmsmeyer, Chief Commercial Officer of McLaren Automotive.
“Specialist engineers from McLaren Automotive and Bowers & Wilkins have worked in partnership since 2015 to develop and deliver the sound technologies that ensure the levels of audio system excellence our customers demand,” he notes.

Expect to see the collaboration extend further beyond the racetrack, with co-branded products designed to appeal to McLaren’s vast global fanbase. Having already launched the Px8 McLaren Edition headphones and Zeppelin McLaren Edition speaker, the duo are known to be developing more products that reflect their shared dedication to craftsmanship and performance.
Bowers & Wilkins’ audio expertise will also play a crucial role in supporting McLaren Racing’s drivers and team personnel throughout the upcoming F1 season.
