Bruichladdich to celebrate Burns Night with special whisky tastings and cocktail events across UK

Islay-based Bruichladdich is inviting whisky lovers to celebrate Burns Night in style. To honour the Scottish national poet, the distillery is collaborating on exclusive menus across the country, creating cocktail specials, food pairings, and hosted dinners in venues from London to Glasgow. 

The Bruichladdich whisky portfolio comprises the titular unpeated Islay single malt; Port Charlotte, the heavily peated Islay single malt Scotch whisky (40PPM); and Octomore, the world’s most heavily peated Scotch whisky series (80+PPM).

Celebrations will kick off at Hackney cocktail bar, Equal Parts. Bar manager Bryn Lovell has crafted a Burns Night cocktail special, named Figs of Islay, combining The Classic Laddie with salted hazelnut, angostura bitters, and fig leaf soda. Figs of Islay will only be available between January 20 -26.

Over at London’s Ham Yard hotel, exclusive dishes paired with various Bruichladdich drams will be available on January 24, taking guests on a whisky journey through each course.

In Birmingham, Fox and Chance is hosting a whisky and cheese pairing on January 23, while a 6-course food pairing will be held at Squerrves Winery in Westerham, also on January 23.

The Cottage in the Wood, in Malvern, will host a feast and whisky flight on January 25; while an celebratory Burns Night menu will be available across all Kuckoo Bars sites to toast to the celebration. 

Finally, in Scotland, dry-aged beef specialists Porter and Rye is offering a small plates and paired cocktail menu January 19-26, while Ubiquitous Chip will host a dinner on January 30.
