German audio specialist Zeitgeist hopes to bring music lovers closer to nature, with a stylish new range of in-ear headphones crafted from responsibly sourced wood species.
The Trees Collection showcase Sequoia, Zebrano, Redheart, and Olive trees, each chosen for its unique aesthetic and acoustic properties.
Founder Thomas Halbgewachs explains, “We’re breathing new musical life into trees that have come to a natural end. These trees have seen hundreds, even thousands, of years of history. Our artisans ensure their beauty lives on, creating one-of-a-kind audio pieces.”

The wooden materials chosen by Zeitgeist not only add a warm, natural aesthetic but also enhance sound quality by minimising resonance and delivering a richer, more natural audio profile.
No two pairs of Zeitgeist earphones are exactly alike, reflecting the organic grain and unique texture of each wood.
Available in Regular and Small sizes, their wired design ensures the highest fidelity and eliminates the need for batteries; an optional Bluetooth adapter is available for wireless use. Prices start at £799.
Introducing the Zeitgeist in-ear Trees Collection
California Sequoia, £899 (€999): Crafted from the towering redwoods of California, this model captures the majesty of these ancient giants. With a fine, straight grain and deep red hue, the Sequoia earphones exude elegance.
African Zebrano, £899 (€999): Known for its striking zebra-like stripes, Zebrano wood presents a bold aesthetic. Its interlocked grain and golden-brown tones make every pair a dramatic design statement.
Mediterranean Olive, £799 (€899): Olive wood’s wavy grain and contrasting hues of yellow and brown evoke the sun-drenched landscapes of the Mediterranean, and has long been considered a symbol of peace and wisdom.
Yucatan Redheart, £799 (€899): Vibrant pink and red tones define this tropical wood, which grows in Central and South America. Redheart’s vivid hues deepen over time, making it a dynamic choice.
Alongside the Trees Collection, Zeitgeist Germany has unveiled Flamed Islay Malt (£699), the latest addition to its Whisky Collection of in-ears. Inspired by the traditional practice of charring whisky barrels, this model features wood treated with a blowtorch, creating a unique texture that mirrors the smoky complexity of aged whisky.
The Trees Collection and Flamed Islay Malt earphones are available now through zeitgeistgermany, as well as Harrods and Selfridges.
