Innovative kitchen solutions for holiday leftovers

Imagine turning leftover turkey or chicken into gourmet vol-au-vents, or creating a refreshing Brussel sprout salad to accompany crispy roast potatoes.

Other suggestions: Don’t let delicious jus go to waste – decant unused gravy into an ice cube tray and freeze for another day.

Suffering from a surplus of Christmas pud? Try frying it up and serving with vanilla ice cream.

At an exclusive cooking event at Sauce, the cookery school at London’s Langham Hotel, top chef Millie Simpson showcased the possibilities, using Samsung’s cutting-edge appliances to create festive meals with ease.

The Luxe Review was on hand, eager to turn surplus scraps into a scrumptious meal, and get hands-on with the latest smart kitchen tech from Samsung.

Samsung’s Dual Cook Steam Oven is a revelation. It’s perfect for multitasking, as it offers two independent cooking zones, letting you roast turkey and bake dessert simultaneously at different temperatures without flavour transfer. Its energy-efficient design preheats 52 per cent faster and uses 25 per cent less energy.

Similarly, Samsung refrigerators are built for the demands of a busy Christmas kitchen, with features like Humidity Fresh crisper drawers to keep veg fresh and Twin Cooling Plus to prevent flavour cross contamination. For larger gatherings, Smart Conversion allows users to switch freezer compartments into extra fridge space. Select models even feature AI Vision Inside, an internal camera that can identify fresh food items and allows you to manage a food list, and cut waste.

To further simplify holiday meal prep, the Samsung Food app acts like a personal sous chef, providing tailored recipe inspiration based on ingredients on hand. It offers AI-driven meal planning, ingredient list creation, price comparisons across supermarkets, and dietary adaptations, all accessible across devices.
