Not all TVs have to look the same. Samsung has unveiled a bold new look for its Serif lifestyle TV. The stylish flatscreen, which is a stablemate of Samsung’s gallery-style The Frame and the social media influenced Sero, is to be introduced in a new Ivy Green colour.
We took a closer look at the new Serif at CES 2024, and think the naturalistic colour scheme looks spectacular.
Designed by celebrated French industrial auteurs Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, the Serif TV delivers a bold aesthetic look. Unlike regular QLED models from the brand, it sports a stylised upper bezel shelf where you can park plant pots, picture frames and assorted doodads.
Viewed from the side, the set mimics a serif ‘I’.

Available in 43-, 49- , 55- and 65-inch screen sizes, the Serif TV is designed to sit on standard AV furniture or can stand alone on its own freestanding pedestal. Check out the various Serif models here.
Novel design apart, the Serif TV is in every other respect a fully specified 4k HDR smart TV, which runs the Samsung Tizen smart TV IOS, home to all the popular streaming TV services, including Netflix, Disney+ and Prime Video. Unusually, it sports a matte screen, reducing glare and reflections caused by living room lights.
Samsung says that the Ivy Green colourway reflects the post COVID interior design trend that emphasises comfort and naturalness. The hue joins the already available Cotton Blue and Cloud White.
Serif TV prices start at £899, and are available from the Samsung store here.
