As part of its ongoing 200th anniversary celebrations, venerable Scotch whisky brand The Macallan is collaborating with Cirque du Soleil to present a unique, immersive experience at The Macallan Estate.

Blending the craftsmanship of whisky making with the artistic brilliance of Cirque du Soleil, the Spirit experience will run daily (except Sundays) from 9 May to 31 May 2024, at The Macallan Estate in Speyside, Scotland.

The nightly shows promise a sensory extravaganza, set against the picturesque Scottish Highlands; an evening of performance, inspired stagecraft, and bespoke whisky tastings

Marie-Hélène Delage, Creative Director at Cirque Du Soleil, describes the partnership as “a spectacular collaboration based on mutual respect.”

Jaume Ferràs, Creative Director at The Macallan, expressed, “Celebrating two centuries of unparalleled craftsmanship and tradition, this collaboration brings two iconic brands together, both dedicated to constant innovation; resulting in a one-of-a-kind experience which is uniquely inspired by the Highlands and the story of our brand so far.”

We’re told: ‘Cirque du Soleil Spirit will immerse guests in the tale of Davonna, a spiritual guardian of the Scottish Highlands, and Ayla, a young colourist. Ayla, the daughter of a revered Master Whisky Maker, embarks on a quest to recreate a cherished shade of red, leading to encounters with enchanting folkloric figures and a profound reconnection with nature.’

Cirque du Soleil Spirit runs nightly May 9 -31, at The Macallan Estate in Speyside. Tickets are priced at £200 per person and can be purchased here.
