In the illustrious world of whisky, Berry Bros. & Rudd stands as a venerable institution with an impressive 325-year legacy. To mark this historic milestone, the wine and spirits merchant has unveiled a limited edition gem, the Berry Bros. & Rudd 325th Anniversary Laphroaig 1999 Single Malt Scotch Whisky.
Derived from the renowned Laphroaig Distillery on Islay, and handpicked by Chair Lizzy Rudd, this exceptional bottling pays homage to Berry Bros. & Rudd’s enduring commitment to the art of spirits, a history that traces back to the early 19th century when Laphroaig first began crafting its own casks.

The liquid within this limited edition has been maturing patiently since 1999. Through the years, it has absorbed the essence of the Islay terroir, gaining exceptional depth, complexity, and character, to be truly representative of the Laphroaig legacy.
Lizzy Rudd, Chair of Berry Bros. & Rudd, expresses the significance of this milestone, stating, “We wanted to offer something truly exceptional.”
Rob Whitehead, Spirits Buyer at Berry Bros. & Rudd, sheds light on the meticulous selection process: “When tasting through our repository of casks, one barrel begins to separate itself from the pack. Selflessly tasting an earmarked special cask repeatedly over several years helps us to pinpoint the optimum age for bottling, thus capturing the whisky at the height of its development.”
Priced at £800, and limited to just 232 bottles, the Berry Bros. & Rudd 325th Anniversary Laphroaig 1999 Single Malt Scotch Whisky is destined to be a coveted gem for collectors and connoisseurs alike.
The Whisky Exchange has dropped three new exclusive bottlings to mark the start of 2026, spanning Scotch whisky, American bourbon and Jamaican rum. The limited collection comprises an experimental single-cask Torabhaig from the Isle of Skye, a punchy single-barrel bourbon from Bardstown Bourbon Company, and a sherry-cask-aged Hampden Estate rum that leans fully into the…
