TRIC, the Television and Radio Industries Club, has announced that its 2022 TRIC Awards will take place July 6, at the Grosvenor House on Park Lane, home to more than 50 TRIC Awards ceremonies over past years.
The event celebrates the best of UK TV and radio and online content. Presenting the show will be the newly appointed TRIC President, Alex Jones, co-host of the BBC’s The One Show.
18 awards will be presented in total. Categories include TV Personality, Soap of the Year, Soap Actor, Radio personality, Radio Programme, Podcast of the Year, Drama, Reality, factual, Sport and News Presenter.
The show will be presented in front of a live in-person audience of over 1000 guests, and will be live streamed, for fans to tune in and to watch all the action on a livestream or on-demand, hosted across streaming platform, ScreenHits TV.
The voting long list for the TRIC 2022 Awards will go live on the TRIC website on March 16. Voting will be live for six weeks, allowing the public and industry to choose their favourite shows and stars, from the world of comedy, drama, reality TV, factual, radio, news and sport.
Previous Winners include Alison Steadman, Kate Garraway, Ant & Dec, Holly Willoughby, Piers Morgan, Ruth Jones, Keith Lemon, Kellie Bright, Emily Maitlis, Danny Dyer, Alan Carr, Googlebox and Michael McIntyre.

A not for profit organisation, TRIC choses two new charities to support every year; this year it will be the Alzheimer’s Society and Save the Children.
