The Isle of Harris distillery has launched a stylish range of men’s and women’s tweed jackets.
Produced in collaboration with celebrated Scottish Designer Judy R Clark, these made-to-order jackets are made using specially woven Isle of Harris Distillery Harris Tweed, and sport luxurious teal velvet collars embroidered with rose gold thread.
Judy R Clark, who previously worked with the late Alexander McQueen, is known for hand tailored womenswear designs comprising Harris Tweeds, Scottish lace and antique fabrics. Her work has been showcased globally, in Japan, Italy, Russia, London, New York and Chicago, as well as the UK.
For this range, Clark has partnered with Alison MacDonald of Tiger Textiles in the Isle of Lewis. Alison has been working from her studio in Ness embroidering threads of rose gold on to sumptuous teal velvets for the hidden message, ‘Esse Quam Videri’ in the back collars.
The distinctive jackets are finished with rose copper buttons and contrasting sea blue buttonholes.
Available in women’s and men’s styles, and made to order with a typical turnaround of 10-12 weeks, the stylish jackets are priced at £660. Sizes range from 6 – 18 for women and 36- 48 for men.
The option to try a sample jacket on for size is available at the Isle of Harris Distillery.

In related news, the Scottish distiller has also announced a new sustainability initiative.
The Refill Project has been created to address the growing demand from customers who want to keep their glass Isle of Harris Gin bottle, instead of throwing it out.
The distillery has been exploring the potential of new refill solutions by experimenting with aluminium as a high-quality material with exceptional recyclability, lightness, and excellent carbon footprint figures. The result is the new 500ml Refill Bottle.
The Refill Bottle is only available through a limited annual subscription service, priced at £346.50.
